I like to trick gambiters - like, I saw a title in Youtube - Top Indian Grandmaster Invents a Counter-Gambit to my Stafford Gambit
So, wouldn't it be cool if Black plays a Petrov, you allow him to play the Stafford gambit, and them Boom?
I played e5 for a long time, just waiting for opponent to play King's Gambit, and then I'd kick-ass with the Falkbeer Countergambit lol, man do I like to counter-punch people.
But, as Sparowe said - it's Your style.
Unless you're Karpov - who has no style.
Balance - not being a purist - playing only the very best lines no matter what, and not go wild playing crazy things who can easily lead to a loss. - I played the Falkbeer - it's computer-approved to be sort of a draw, the best line is actually g5 - but we're not Fischer and Kaspraov - who can defend like a boss, so we choose a more practical line.

I personally like to find refutations, or 'tackles', against dubious openings.
OK now, I play for a well known Club, and have been a Member there for nearly 6 years now.
And it will surprise you , I love dubious, scandalous Openings, they are not really scandalous to me.
So if you play 1.e4, I might reply with a5, or Nc6.
If white plays 2.Bc4 after a5, there is a way to Trap that Bishop, and roughly 60% fall into that trap....
Would you find a way around it?

I don't see the need, just d4 and regular development. bishop doesn't Have to stand of the a2-g8 diagonal - a retreat to d3 (after d4 was played, naturally)

Well I expected a 2000 rating in two years.I'm playing this game for one year.this is my first account I ever created on chess website so you can techinaly see my progress from total beginner to 1800. Also I have zero problems with personal things as long it's real
Please, don't give importance to rankings. Lichess ELO is just for internal use only. The only way to know your real rating is by playing OTB games. In order to reach 2000 ELO FIDE points, you would need +/- 2450 here.
Enjoy chess and forget ratings.

I was able to achieve 2000 - 2100 in two years. I can help you. I'm happy to play you and help analyze your games.
What is your preferred time control? Mine is bullet.
We can play a slower game every so often as well. Maybe you can teach me something about chess.

Don't listen to any of these people. Especially the ones who say you are limited to a certain skill level. You can get over 2300 lichess blitz from where you are now within 2 years if you work 2-6 hours nearly every day. But the work has to be efficient and knowing how to train/what the best resources are is the hard part.
