What is the hardest variant according to you (and taking which side)?

The hardest variant is horde for black probably. Fog of war is also challenging.

It is a fact that I am one of the bests player of racing kings so for me this variant is easy but the most difficult variant for me is antichess and atomic but the most is antichess because I can't understand the strategic of this variant

Agreed. And white is too OP in atomic

Anti-chess has been weakly solved, where white can force a win. This makes anti-chess for black the hardest variant to play.

(I therefore think that anti-chess should use the chess 960 rules to set up the game (or perhaps use some form of a pie rule))

I completely agree.
Almost 90% of black's antichess lines are losing
