What I got from this is that learning the game is considered cheating because other people can't play chess.
What fun do you even get if you cheat in Chess. The fun is learning it and getting better, not winning the chess match. That's like if I use a bot to speed run Mario 64 for me and claim I got the world record and it was fair because I don't have the time to study or play the game.

If it were not wrong then it would not be cheating.

@JoyfulCrown
I disagree, if you use an engine during a game then you're hurting the other player. Sure they spent time learning how to play chess and getting better and putting in the effort to enjoy the game but that doesn't matter. Surely, you can't argue about time being such a valuable resource if you're going to waste it on Chess with an engine. That spends your own time that you could use to learn Chess. It's not even like it's the small fish fighting the world since websites usually pair you with someone your own skill level.
Hell, there is only two reasons I know that using cheat engines is morally acceptable in a game, it would be testing the fastest possible way to speedrun a game, or doing a hackoff when both players are maximizing their cheat engine to play the game and beat the other player.

To sum it up: "Life isn't always fair, neither is chess. So chess is life" - chesseater "fan-of-Bobby-Fischer" 78

@CalbernandHowbe Man, I'm so angry, I failed all my exams because I had no money or time! Those other kids were all cheating by learning and listening to the teacher give notes!
Life is so unfair!

being smart is cheating. if you are smarter than the average person you should not have been born, you are cheating life by being born.
