Nah because most people don't become super GM's. Unless it's a special exception. Even if we do, we can't have everyone playing chess, we need doctors, scientists, mathematicians, etc.
But chess is good for the brain and could help people become those jobs. It helps in memory, strategy, problem-solving, ideas, etc.

Kinda makes some sense, but chess takes a lot of time and there are ways to learn faster and better than playing chess. Chess doesn't help very much or directly in any of the things you say. You could also learn a lot of strategy by solving math problems and there's also corresponding things for the others you stated. Only in special occasions, such as the girl in the book "Fish in a Tree" do I think chess should actually be taught. I play chess just for fun.

I think Armenia does this, from what I read.
Chess teaches discipline, critical thinking and more in the most efficient way for how fun it is. Kids who pick it up don't have to become a grandmaster, but the thought processes occurring in play strengthen thought outside of the game.
Every country which teaches chess in school outperforms the United States academically, regardless of wealth.
Starting in the 1960s with Adrian deGroot, studies have shown again and again that chess increases academic performance (I can attest to this) and positive behavior in children, even reducing negative behavior in kids with those issues.

I don't think there is any doubt that chess should be mandatory for students in primary education. I would have rather had chess class in 1st grade than all the hours playing Freddy Fish teaching me "computer science".

Im kinda reluctant to say this, coz asking this in a chess forum seems a bit one sided, but yes yes so much yes! Chess would beat most of the classes that were mandatory to me back then (with the exception of some languages).
