Could you provide more information? As long as I know Gukesh was hated because of winning the World Championship "unfairly". That is not racism, is it?

I have heard a few racist comments about Gukesh, out of the thousands of comments I have heard about him. I have also heard a few racist (or sexist, or religious stereotype, or, or, or...)about just about everyone on the planet... Yes, some percentage of the population is racist, and it is quite reasonable to assume that a somewhat percentage of the chess community is racist. That is an issue of racism in society, not racism in chess.

From my experience at OTB events, I would say that the percentage of racist in the OTB community is quite a bit lower than the general population. That is not surprising, since the OTB communities tends to travel, and meet different people, and as Mark Twain said: "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness".

Gukesh is okay with me. It's that naughty Fischer guy who was so mean to the Russians, even after they gave the world the gift of fine vodka!

Or was it Sweden that gave us that gift. I sometimes have a hard time making up my mind.

Oh, wait, I'm forgetting Finland. I shouldn't do that. I hope nobody gets upset with me.
