I'm really curious. Later today I'll give it my first try. Please note that my environment is very challenging: Windows 7 and a Serial DGT board :-)
BTW, any chance to use this plugin under Linux?
Thanks to the author for this awesome work

Unfortunately I had the abort of the game again.
Played another two games. The second one aborted after I made the move of my opponent on the board (game gWtsl1gw).
The console says "Unknown status received: timeout".

Well, I finally tested this wonderful plugin.
For my first attempt I used Firefox. I opened the http://lichess.org/dgt page, download and installed the counterintuitive program named "livechess"; not sure what i messed up with it but it seemed that my old and glorious Serial DGT chessboard has been detected. Cool!
Then I moved to the plugin page. Some encouraging messages were displayed in the console so I was confident enough to start a game.
I choose Black, my opponent played 1.e4, I Played 1...,g6. No way to get the board working. I had to finish the game by regular devices like mouse and screen. Damn!
Once finished the game I went to read this thread looking for hints. The first one that I luckily read was "use Chrome!" Oh silly me! why I didn't read it before?
With chrome I was able to start a game. I completed three games.
First game: at move 6 or 7 I forgot to place my opponent's piece before mine and the board stopped to work even if i placed back all chessmen in the right squares.
Second and third game, the plugin worked fine till the end of the game with a single (heavy) drawback: it detected my moves with a delay of 5 to 10 seconds. In third game both of us were with about 40 seconds left on the clock so I stopped to use the DGT board and I played with the mouse on the screen.
Please note that I started my own three games instead of pick one from the open game list, so I had the chance to specify the color. I wonder what happens if I accept an open game and chessmen on my board are reversed compared to the color that lichess assign to me.
Summarizing, this plugin is really promising and I am pretty sure that will grow up. I am very grateful to the author.
I am available to give further details upon request

I also lost another game because of the abandoned game issue, so I will wait for another update before playing with the DGT board again.

@AV-57 @everest3 @Bracco
Thanks very much for testing. I am sorry to hear that abandoned game issue persist.
This issue is what worries me the most since move detection is working pretty good at this point, but its pretty discouraging knowing that games may be aborted. So I will raise this to other developers and see if they can help us with that. Last time I reported this they came with a fix pretty quick, but it seems it was not enough,
About the delay, I have the feeling it gets worst as the game approaches the end, I need to think if there is a way to improve this. May be related to LiveChess itself, I will dig into it.
Regarding Firefox, I am impressed that on such a small group of testers almost everyone tried first with Firefox, so I will try to find what is the issue and make it FireFox compatible.
Keep everyone posted. I was hoping to claim victory this weekend, but it seems we will need a little bit of more time.

Just would like to confirm that I also have the feeling that the delay increases towards end of the game.

Yes, I agree. I observed the delay not before move 30 or so

@Bracco: About the issue with your first game. So far I was able to repair all issues with misplaced pieces with the "Reload this page" link on the lichess.org/dgt/play-page. May be that helps when you have this problem again. Afterwards you should be able to continue with the board.

@everest3 Thank you for your answer.
Please, can you describe what you did exactly to recover from a misplaced position?
In my game:
- I played as black regularly on the board till, let's say, move 10.
- Then I heard my opponent's move 11 from the speakers, I didn't play it on the board,
- then I made my move 11 on the board.
- I realized that the position on the DGT board wasn't reflecting the position of the game, so I corrected the opponent's piece position on the board accordingly
- I wasn't able to continue the game via DGT. Finished in the traditional way.
At what point you would have "reloaded"?
What extra action(s), if any, I should have made?
Thanks in advance

I played 2 games with Chrome Browser - In one Game a pawn reached the last line and become Queen. All without problems!
