See, Overcooker and I are confused about your intentions as you explain them here: For me (and probably also Overcooker), chess is a game we play, at least in principle [Footnote], with the goal to be entertained and have fun (which can also come through improving at the game etc.), while you say that, at least for some opponents, your goal is to emotionally harm them („destroying their pleasure“, or proving to them that they are a „bad loser and player“, etc.)
[Footnote]: I say „in principle“ because in practice I may play chess for other reasons, for instance chess addiction or frustration after a loss, etc. (but this is not my desired motivation to play chess!)
If we are talking about goals then the goal of chess is to checkmate the opponent. I think this is for everybody the main-goal. Checkmating will give some pleasure just like the process needed to checkmate.
If this checkmate-goal is not achievable anymore by somebody letting on purpose his time run out then I switch to a second goal which gives me pleasure and that is by making a fool of my opponent by adding the 15 seconds increment.
So I only have this "bad" goal for people which I don't respect. People not willing others to checkmate them, deserve no respect.

The goal inside a game of chess is to checkmate the opponent, yes, but the external motivation why you want to play chess is not that (it is for instance fun with playing, or addiction, or wanting to improve, etc.).
It seems the difference between us is that I find your second goal unworthy of pursuit, while you (maybe?) don’t? :)

Could you link me to one of your articles you find most worthwhile to read? :D
What would you say does chess provide, in a positive sense, beside entertainment and fun? (I count the value added by competition and a desire to improve also to fun, because what is the point of competing if you don’t enjoy the competition?)
Hmm my blog has close to 600 articles. It is like asking a painter to make a quick selection out of this complete oeuvre.
Well I can tell you despite the Dutch language and publishing on some hidden unknown platform, my blog has close to 1 Million unique visitors so I think this already says a lot about the quality.
Now where to start. My last article shows how beautiful classical on the board chess can be (see 5 diagrams), something which is impossible to achieve online :https://schaken-brabo.blogspot.com/2023/09/verrassingen-deel-3.html
The recent trilogie about chessbuddies is definitely also a very good read. Especially part 2: https://schaken-brabo.blogspot.com/2023/08/de-schaakbuddy-deel-2.html I find the most revealing.
Maybe one of the most funny articles is the one about the rabbit: https://schaken-brabo.blogspot.com/2022/01/het-konijn.html
Anyway I hear from readers different favorites so it is really hard to say what you will like the most.

There are many more things I'm confused about other than his intentions. It's sad to see this behavior for many reasons, one of them being ruining the game for other people, or at least trying to.

People who enjoy humiliating others deserve no respect in my book. It's far too easy for people to judge others poor choices while not looking at their own.

I play anonymously purely to have some fun one way or another in a very relaxed way (watching television, waiting for my child at the dentist ...). I have this account for other more serious goals.

People not willing to resign lost games are ruining it for many more. Personally I think what they do is 100 x worse than what I do. Again I am not ashamed.
