Chess Structures, as mentioned in post 2, is a good book. It covers 28 frequently occurring pawn structures, briefly describes the main plans for each side in each one, and illustrates what these plans might look like in practice and what factors influence their chances of success through detailed analysis of grandmaster level games.
Two basic caveats. Firstly it's pitched at a fairly high level - it probably helps to have a reasonable feel for positional basics if you want to get the most out of the analysis, and obviously there's no point being able to pick the right plan if you're probably going to walk into a one-move checkmate threat anyway! Secondly it's obviously not comprehensive, and you'll get less value out of it if your main openings don't often take you into the sort of middlegames that are discussed. e4 e5 structures seem to get particularly short shrift.

@AcabaComigo you put 8 pawns each at the starting position, were they usually are. No pieces or kings, then try to queen first. Thats how you understand pawns according to karpov. Ofc best to do with engine or another player.

Don’t worry about your pawn structure. In the next game they are lined up again.
