Newbie question: move takeback request

My opponent requested to take back a move. I missed the request until after I made my move. I feel bad, because I would have agreed. But I didn’t know the feature existed or how to allow the request. I couldn’t find in the FAQ.

Any sage advice?

Thanks

Dont allow them. Specially if the game is in escence, over after that.
If they make a mistake again, probably are going to ask for another one.
If you make a mistake, they will probably wont accept it.

If you win, they are gonna be mad you didnt accepted the request.
If you lose, you gave them the chance, which is technically forbidden, as you are forced to move a piece you touch as per rules.

Is a lose lose scenario. Just dont.

You can send your own takeback requests if you miss your opponents'.

Still a lose lose situation. If you are allowed your takeback, you would only win because your opponent allowed you to take back a mistake. You didnt win because you were better, you won because some one spared you. Its a bad victory.

If you lose because you allowed a takeback, its a stupid loss.

And its not allowed in otb tournaments, which are the only ones that really count. Might as well learn to play proper before playing a real game.

While playing a game, to the right of the board, in between the players' user names, there are often three buttons. The arrow is the takeback request, the hand is a draw offer, and the flag is to resign. There is an option to not allow takebacks, so the arrow will be absent if this option is selected.

Misclicks do not exist otb, which is what takebacks were allowed for

Not every OTB game is a tournament. Some games are for fun. I would give an OTB takeback to my young nephews.
