My best friend using a chess computer???

@esmiro said in #20:

What reputation does a random lichess user gain?
We don't know each other, we are just faceless avatars.
In this case: He played with other friends for a chess school.
In general: Show your rating to friends, relatives, streamers' audiences, and so on.

If he's really your friend you should talk to him and guide him properly and tell him that it's not correct way. He's your friend, you are responsible for helping him.

Absolutely right!

Your statement reminds me of one of the central sentences in "The Little Prince"
by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, the meaning of which is:

"You are responsible for life for what you have made yourself familiar with - you're responsible for your rose.”

So you know him personally and must have played over-the-board chess with him and know full well he isn't a particularly good player capable of that result (so must have cheated).
yep

I have heard of that story but never read though. And you have good sense of noticing as you remembered what you read by seeing what I wrote.

It is by no means too late to make up for this omission, and I heartily encourage you to read this wonderful book. If you can, buy or rent it. You will gain a lot for yourself after reading it.

I just researched on Wikipedia that "The Little Prince" has been translated into 382 languages!

Definitely I will read it.
Actually I saw it at the cover end of my school books which made me think about reading but now it's high time that I read it finally.

temptation is likely, the easy raw power of an engine is very charming. Just like shop lifting , you just want something you can't have you are not a thief or you would know how to circumvent the security; he just fell for those two big knockers called Stockfish and his 40 move dept. I blame the AI just watch some of the movies on the topic of humanoid AI very intense.
