I only play blitz to study the opening position right after the game finishes. So for me a rematch defeats the purpose of playing. There is no disrespecting involved.

In my experience it's nearly always losers who want the rematch.

I have been suggesting a similar solution for years. It would be very simple to have a "search for a match" option, but it seems developers are not interested. My temporary solution, which I reccomend: block everyone that will not rematch. The same person who do not rematches you now will beg for a rematch later if they lose, I had plenty of those. So I'm blocking after the first game, whether I won or lost, if my opponent doesn't rematch he is blocked, and everybody is happy.

@Lidraughtsorg This is a very, very simple feature. I can't garantee it, but I would guess that there would be plenty of people using this feature.

Your right there would be be lots of people that would use the feature but let me give you a hint at some other features that would have thousands of users but Lichess also say's they won't do since not enough people would participate.
UXXX Classical, Marathon, and Ultrabullet Tournaments
Blindfold arenas
Updated performance statistics for tournaments
Ultra and Hyper quick pair buttons
Swiss tournaments (after 3 years of asking they did do this)
Another variant
And the last reason this Idea won't be implemented is because the community has to want it. There have to be more people that want it than people who specifically would ask for the feature to be removed. Just look at post 1 and 2.

@etaLaskera Okay. I think I will start blocking everyone who asks for a rematch. That way I will eventually play only against people who are satisfied with one game. Then we can all be happy. Funny how if you want it, you just assume everyone else does.

@sparowe14 That's the spirit. I don't know about you, but I play a lot and eventually I play the same players, I just realized that I don't want to play against those people that denied a rematch. So if you do the same it's a favor to everyone.

@Lidraughtsorg But why anyone would want this feature removed when all you have to do is not use it? I do not use most features available too, like I do not play horde chess.. .but some people like it and play it. It just happened that the op did not phrase his idea very well on his title, but it's not the first time someone suggests something similar. The whole idea is to have a seek for a match feature, and you set how many games you would be willing to play and you play someone who want it too. People who likes playing a single game would keep playing single games.

"One reason I don't play rematches is I like to see the analysis board straight after the game."

Good point. I also felt hesitating. but you do not have to accept or request a rematch right away, in any of the time control i have played at least.
- as long as you keep your original personal game link (or go to profile, own games, and there the link should be to game (not its analysis)). in the original game link the rematch button seems persistent.
- if you have been request a rematch, you can leave it hanging, i believe, until you are ready. nothing forces you to either accept it or refuse it right away. I think.
I systematically ask for rematch, win or lose, as I have always played like that my whole life. few players but many games, learning their style maybe, it is some kind of objective progression measure, possibly, (there is always the possibility of co-evolution, which is fun also). I play only correspondence. worth having series, at that pace. it is in the spirit of things, i think. no hurry, if you are ready to spend so much time in one game, why not look at many games? I don't understand why people have to be so tribal about it. and not the fun kind of tribes. The chimpanzee tribes, always looking for war. not enough food on the table, ever. grrrrr. git-off-my-land....
However, I do not think if is disrespectful to not want rematch, just different taste of chess. or wanting very diverse styles experience. who knows. I find that assuming player expecting rematch are losers or obsessive is disrespectful though. Also 10 consecutive reply posts (approx. that's the impression) that did not seem to have read the op post proposition. I think the reason, is that there were 2 statements, first a value judgment, and then a proposition. The value judgment ("disrespectful") got the thread going, and those not so trigger happy, found like me that some part of the op had been misread or misunderstood. (s)he was not proposing to force anybody, but would not like to spend time in games that would not have at least some repeat outlook. not wasting his time, may has been the objective. knowing in advance when a game is proposed that the opponent is repeat friendly, would help the op decide on whether to enter such game or not.
blablabla. did i circle around the topic. cool it. in my conclusion. peace. and maybe create a team of like minded repeat style. so that you would not have to rely on random pairings. Maybe some statistics on username game network topology. or repeat opponent frequency, if that can be consulted before accepting a pairing. not need to block. but what do i know....

Actually, I had forgotten about the thread title. It may have been the cause of misunderstanding.
making a category for those that prefer repeats, is not the same as "compulsory offer". those terms are kind of fighting each other. poor combination. and compulsory must have taken precedence, and op content may not have altered the impulse of the title reader in the early phase of the thread. That happens, i have had some regrettable choices of thread titles in the past. Striking a balance between nuance and visibility may be difficult. not sure i can.
