Lichess algorithm pairing against hard to beat players and bots??

Am I the only I who believes that the Lichess algorithm pairs players who play the same lines often with other players who know exactly how to refute their favorite lines?

And I also heard that lichess punishes certain players they suspect are cheating by pairing them against bots who are hard to beat...

I tested this Theory by creating a new account and see how high my chess rating could get.

My first account the highest I was ever rated was about a 1550. I created a new account and I was able to immediately get all the way to 1696. I was destroying the competition I even beat a 1770+.

After a couple of days it seems that the algorithm adjusted to my play and begin to pair me with players who could easily refuted my openings. And now my rating has dropped all the way back to the 1500s.

Is anyone else experiencing these types of suspicions?

If you talk about Lichess main page (Lobby),then yes.If you improve your rating, the system will adjust to your playing strength, and give similarly rated opponents. If rating drops,it will give lower rated players again.

In the tournament system pairings are made close to the tournament standings instead of rating. All of this is done in order to make good playing performance.

Lichess doesn't consider your "pet lines" in order to create pairings. Yet another conspiracy theory.

What #3 said. What you saw as Lichess "pairing you with players who could easily refute your openings", was just Lichess pairing you with stronger players (because you had a higher rating), and stronger players can just refute your openings more easily, because they're stronger...

I experienced this. I always want to play Scholar's mate opining, and Lichess keeps pairing me with players who just never follow the lines. Never!

@fatbeep

You prove my point about fear.
When you were no longer being impeded by your fear, you were free to think clearly and to select your best moves uninhibited.

Whether we are fearing a cheater...
Whether we are fearing losing our "2000" high score benchmark ranking...
Whether we are fearing the lethality of a higher-rated opponent...

Fear and good chess can not share the same space!!

Early inflation/deflation of a new account will sometimes initially place people higher/lower than their actual score, but this isn't an either/ proposition. The point stands.
