Lichess admins took down a post because i called out their weak cheat detection system

Personally I don't really have any cheaters in my level of chess.

I never said such a thing and lichess already deleted my initial response so i'll just paraphrase

You have a one-sided hatred towards me and the people i said cheated actually cheated and were banned so try again.
Why does he even have a personal vendetta against you?
just play some chess.

No idea, he probably doesn't interact much with the outside world so this is his chance to be social

He can't challenge me to a chess match he's not on my level or even the level below me.

I guess I'll look into it. Such animosity has reasons

you probably see more cheaters than me, but, let's say your true rating is 2005. if you lose to a cheater and drop to 2000, in a few games you will return to your true rating.

it can be annoying losing to a cheater, but also, it can be no big deal. it's up to you how you feel about it. personally I don't like feeling annoyed, so I don't.

I will say it again since they took down another persons post...

Firstly, it is a very bad idea to discuss cheating.

The matter should only be discovered, independently, by people who put their minds to it.
It is not good that it is foisted into the forefront of everyone's psyche.

People who don't value integrity and who have less respect for the game, will be more prone to cheat.

Secondly, it sounds as though your ego wants to cheat and is attempting to justify a rationale for itself of "they deserve it" and "I'm owed points" and "almost everyone cheats, and so it's like I'm cheating myself if I'm the only one playing fairly".

Thirdly, it is impossible to lose points!!

If you "lose" to 20 cheaters in a row, you will "lose" about 100 points.

Then, you will play people who are objectively 100 points poorer than you, and you will immediately return yourself to your objective rating.

Likewise, if you win against 20 people in a row who all lose their queen because of mouseslip/hardware glitch/software glitch/muscle spasm/cat-on-the-keyboard/etc...you will be "gain" 100 points, face opponents who are objectively 100 points your better, and then you will promptly be returned to your objective rating.

For this reason, there is no reason to worry about "points lost" due to suspected misbehaviour.

For this reason, it is a complete waste of time, and a misunderstanding of objective reality, not to offer takebacks on obvious slips.

So, sleep well and know that, barring severe head trauma and/or brain degradation, your objective rating cannot really be interrupted by anything.

Stay lovely!

Right okay so just ignore cheating in chess thats so widespread because uhhhh if you're good you'll just get your ratings back, kinda like what's the point of a shop hiring security, if they're successful they'll just restock their shelves
