I play chess every day here in lichess. And I often check the historical statistics in the profile of my opponents. Allmost every day, I see that an opponent has a historic win streak of around 30 to 50 games. That means they have won 30-50 games in a row with no loss or draw in between. Is that normal, or does a win streak like that indicate that they have cheated ?

Let's say the first 10 games are used to more or less put the player in the correct ranking. After that the chances of winning 20-40 games are less than (because draws not calculated in) 1 / (2 ^ 20) which is 1 in a million to 1 / (2 ^ 40) which is absurdly low.
So yes, they either sandbag or cheat and I would report them.

Oh wait, maybe they search for games against much lower rated opponents to reach a streak? Then it can be legit.

In normal conditions it's impossible to have more than 5-6 win streak. Even if you play only much weaker opponents you can achieve 10-12. Above 20 is pure cheating.

Oops. Am I in danger to be banned? My longest win streak is twelve, and I only played against players around my own rating (quick pairing without adjustment of the rating range)

You can easily reach a big winstreak by playing in arenas, where you encounter players that are much lower rated than you. It is a simple trick to get a great winning streak.
To be more accurate: You join the arena later. Like let us say 10min after it started. Then you are at a low position and you will be paired with lower rated players until you reach the stronger players.
