Im too lazy to be a good chess player

I have this problem that when i play a game I rarely calculate anything, play risky etc, im playing on pure intuition. Im suffering from extreme lazyness in chess and more important in everything in life. You dont want to be in my skin...

Same here I used to play like that but I realized after doing puzzles that you won't get anywhere with pure intuition (what I did). When looking back, you may find that you missed a lot of good moves which was what I realized.

Im walking between 1800 and 1870 Wining and loosing. Its not that bad,but you know its not a serious rating.

Im 1370 right now so I don't really feel qualified to give you advice but you should play long games then you can calculate and stuff (in short games you are sometimes forced to rely on intuition).

Yeah, I have similar problem. I console myself that it's just a lack of real motivation when playing online. But it's very bad for chess in any case, online playing should be approached as a serious training.

I hope that can change over time, given enough motivation and dedication.

Playing longer games can definetly help with this, as pointed out by @bruhmomentum2007 . I recommend looking up Lichess4545, it's a great event where you play long classical games once a week (45+45) while being part of a team. It might seem like it's an insane amount of time, but it's actually a really great exercice for your calculations. Also the dopamine rush after winning a game is pretty sweet. :)

Although I'm too lazy to improve, I also have the need to be accessible to others. Even in long OTB games, I rarely use over 15 minutes. Using pure intuition has the benefit of (almost) keeping the game fun.
