I'm considering giving up chess

If you have a bleak outlook on chess and don't want to continue, then you can quit. If you aren't enjoying chess, you can quit. No need to make a forum post about it, it's your decision.

@BishoptoC4 If he's 1500 here, there's no way he's approaching 1700 on Chess.com. Chess.com ratings are much less inflated than Lichess ratings.
