For over 2 years, I have tried to improve, but I've simply been unable to get past 1700. Without improvement, chess is no longer satisfying for me anymore. I really don't want to give up chess, but my bleak outlook gives me no choice. While I will stay on lichess, I'm seriously considering giving up chess.
@A_0123456 chess is a game only,if you like it you will not leave it if you get bored of it you will feel like quitting... just don't see your rating :)
what have you been doing to try to improve? how long have you taken chess improvement seriously? I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling downcast, I'm here to try to help.
@BishoptoC4 When I began, I was able to improve to about 1500, then I got busy and then when I came back, I reached 1700. But I seem to have hit a wall at 1700.
I moved to chess.com and helped me.
I like how I see from what country my opponet is and also I like the UI - more joyfull.
Moving to another platform, a fresh start gave me another rythm.I only lurk on lichess hoping for new features.

@A_0123456 you're so same as me....my classical in my first account went 1200 to 1400 In a week and bullet 800 to 1400 in a month!now gradually reached 1800 and am stuck here for a month
@A_0123456 it's not that you can't improve. It's just that you don't want to put the effort in that would be necessary to improve. That is completely fine. You reached your natural rating without studying. My natural rating without studying was 1700 too.
