How to estimate your FIDE rating (conversion formula inside)

This is an interesting example. You gave me one such example, but I gave you over 200,000 of them, by calculating the predicted Fide rating for ALL lichess players.

If you had bothered to look at the graph, you would have seen that this example you just showed is an outlier.

There are very few players for which the formula predicts a higher Fide rating than their classical.

And again, this only happens at the extremes where the is very little data. LOOK AT THE GRAPH!

Also, I explained why the gap doesn't have to be constant, but you seem to have missed that post (or you failed to understand it).

Dudeski_robinson, I appreciated your work and I thank you for it. I hope you will present new formulas taking into account the new rating categories : rapid and classic.

Darn. I was so looking forward to a formula. With my new rapid rating I thought for sure my Fide rating would jump 150 points !

Average daily rainfall for my city this month is .03 inches, according to all the "statistics" taken from the last ten years.
One would expect to see intermittent rain, possibly a few times a week, sometimes less, sometimes more.
But on further investigation, information not presented by the original "study", I find a totally different picture. The .03 inches is based on averages, a median rainfall. That is how "statistics" are done.
Turns out, some years it never rained a drop in the entire month. 1 year there was 3 inches on a single day. A couple of years it rained 1-2 inches on 2 days only. It never rained more than 2 days in the entire month in 10 years.
But what do the stats and charts show, what is given on the daily forecast based on the previous years? .03 inches for each and every day!!! Gotta love statistics.

If one tries to refute average values or general approximations by means of a single event or example - then I know much about his education. No further answer required.

@dudeski_robinson #1 Well done! Thank you for that very estimulating effort!

I sure do love this formula!
My estimated Fide rating just increased by 139 points and never played a single OTB game!
Must be judicious though. If I start to play blitz and I lose a few games, my estimated Fide rating takes a nose dive.
