How to create an FEN (Forsyth-Edwards Notation) on our own.

Hi, I knew that many chess site's can generate a fen based on the position which is given but if any one knows that how to create a FEN on own. Please post it on the forum. Just curious to know how to create a fen.

I would use the board-editor:

Only in case you wanna add an "en passent square", you have to edit the FEN directly on the position, where most the time is a "-"
