How to calculate FIDE rating?

@MrPushwood said in #20:

@TheRedDrag Because in the middle of a thread about comparing ratings, suddenly somebody says that they can't be compared.

They can. Just not always accurately.

Take the square root of pi to the power of your lichess rating divided by the house number you live at then subtract the average number of your opponents pieces remaining after you win

Best way to estimate is this

as you can see you can make estimate but it is very inaccurate no matter what.
Those scattergrams are verified FIDE ratings vs lichess ratings. So blitz 2000 is somewhere between 1500 - 2100. if you really want to know : get into FIDE sactioned tournaments.

and the original article with linear regression coefficients included

my Lichess ratings- blitz- (about) 1800
rapid- (about) 1600
classical- (about) 1400
(I know I know, I don't play rapid or classical that much)
my FIDE ratings- blitz-0
rapid-0
classical-0
so clearly there is no relation
