Back then there were more than million accounts created.At the moment it could be about 3 millions,as Lichess is developing quickly.An answer from someone of Lichess team would be greatly appreciated,for more precise data.
The most precise data we have is the amount of games played: https://database.lichess.org.
Amount of accounts doesn't really tell us much, since nothing is stopping people from closing their account and making new ones.
