How do i make a Bot on Lichess?

and dont think building a lco engine by compiling it and adding changes to the main source code of lco takes 1 year it just takes some hours .
if you want to really make a different engine like stockfish or lco but not those engines but your own engine then it takes some months and goodprogramming skills/

I think you might be a bit confused. How to make an engine seems to be the question you are answering, how to make a lichess bot is just basically getting a (shiny) purple “BOT” title in front of a username and that what I was answering. And that requires no coding.

yeah yohaansethnahan you are correct if you want to make engine which joshua is telling then it needs some coding skills abut if you need a lichess bot then its quite easy and the most easiest way is easychess and hypereasy but if you want to make strong bots then it needs some coding but ery little coding just needs some understanding

And #32 It is not all about adding a purple BOT next to your username. But the BOT should also play well. For example consider: https://lichess.org/@/LeelaChess this is a BOT, and the BOT creators not only expected the purple icon, but also wanted the BOT to play well. In conclusion, by the title of forum, I not only mean creating the icon, but also making the BOT play. I think that all purple icons require an engine. Am I right?

joshua you want to tell that you want to make a fully new lichess bot then you meant a fully new engine as lichess bot is nothing but lot of files compiled and coded together and is runned on chess servers like lichess,lishogi,etc.
but all bots are all different bots and new nobody copies stuffs .
its about the engine and books that a bot uses
nothing is with repository if esychess could use lco or stockfish 13 it would easily defeat strong bots and be of 2400 rating or more.
so its all about engine and books used by a bot and nothing else
