How do I go beyond 1750

OMG mind blown...how come I couldn't think of that!!!

JK, I like your answer but I only play 5+3 and recently ive been playing only 3+2....imagine taking the time to think up tactics mid-game...I'm just trying to survive XD

the lower the time, the harder it is to improve. With low time, theres little time to strategize and thus little room for improvement. Even, playing longer time controls where you have time to strategize helps carry over pattern recognition to lower time controls to an extent more steadily than trying to improve in those lower time controls.

hmmm, I smell bad advice... Unsound gambits like the englund and danish only get harder to win with from here... Dirty chess tricks wont get you far.

i mean i dont play nor recommend those specific openings, but some of us here for a good time, not a long time, we just want to play practical sometimes risky chess that work in nigel short time controls

here you go gents, opening rep for blitz and rapid by evgeny sveshnikov -

www.newinchess.com/media/wysiwyg/product_pdf/9020.pdf

The book is from 2015 and completely outdated by now.

Back in those days computers were relatively weak in the opening.
Everything changed with NNUE engines but of course this is only relevant at high master level.

For example the recommended line 1.d4 d5 2.c4 dxc4 3.e3 Be6 does not have a good reputation.
In this recent fast game white was much better but things can turn around more often in fast games and suddenly black was better but lost anyway.

u dont need a chess coach if ur 1700, or even if ur 2300 in my opinion

try to think and play and do tactics
OMG mind blown...how come I couldn't think of that!! I am currently around 1700 FIDE and USCF, and last year, a younger impulsive me made a post on if I could reach 2000 from 1400. Clearly that didn't happen, but I can't say I'm disappointed. I was in second place for my state grade championships, and lost a tiebreaker match after taking a draw with a higher rated player, even though I was +5 at the end of the game. I feel my strength is of a 2000, because I am on the IM level endgame chapter of Jeremy Silman's book, and have all the lower level endgames understood. I have also studied lots of middle game books, and can switch from dynamic and positional play pretty well. And as for openings, probably what I lack in the most, I do have a repertoire for the main openings against my main opening. My time management is a lot better than before, but the thing I lack sometimes is just motivation, because even though I love chess, it can get really tedious to work everyday. Some days it feels like a dream, and some days it feels mundane. I want to become World Champion one day, but I don't know if I can do it. I just wanted to know if it would be possible for me to reach 2000, and what I could do to do it, because I consistently study 24 hours of chess everyday. I'll also put a game of mines under so you can better judge my strength. I am a rated player of rating 1800. Going to classes (T2C). BY:@akeerthika2014[A.keerthika]

easy:
a) first you are rated 1754
b) you loose against a noob rated 542
c) there you go, you went beyond 1750 rating: you are now a 1745 rated player!
