That may explain your problem with books. My impression is that most of them are concerned with explaining ideas that are only practical in games that are much slower.
If you are determined to confine yourself to 5+3 and faster, it might be a good idea to mention that, in advance, to anyone who is considering being a coach for you. I suspect that at least some coaches would not consider it to be practical to be of much help to someone with your sort of ambition.

Sadly enough, for me, you are right. I should mention that. I think I should slap my wrist on this one and actually learn....no BS I've never tried with an effort to learn...chess has been an addicting and frustrating game...the egoists' paradise
@g6firste6second mentioned the sicillian...I'll start with that
Thanks

thats funny cause against sicilian your games usually go into the dragondorf with really sharp setups, you can wing it but also look into some of the ideas to attack early and go for a normal win which works just as well
---- thank you my lord. Thy words of encouragement shall sincerely live in thy heart. I have an emoji i was bidden to send thee.
Real talk I'm gonna study this...apparently that's all I play as black and the only reason I push c5 is the knight isn't infornt of the pawn... it gets annoying trying to get better piece placement in the mid-game when your opponent is going ape-shit

the ideas are good they are practical first and foremost like the author intends, its for ppl who dont got a lot of time or desire to study but who want to beat stronger players, if you do read it definitely run the lines through an engine just to crosscheck but overall it saved me a lot of time since i have practical moves that dont kill me out of the opening bonus if i get some traps up my sleeve, its huge in blitz when im way up on the clock game after game, which carries well to middlegame endgame as well

If you're talented enough, sure, you can become a very strong player without coaching, reading books or hours of daily study. Take a look at the Indian player Mir Sultan Khan, who learned chess from scratch and beat grandmasters like Capablanca.
Are you a Sultan Khan? Only you can answer that question.

JK, I like your answer but I only play 5+3 and recently ive been playing only 3+2....imagine taking the time to think up tactics mid-game...I'm just trying to survive XD
Well, perhaps that's part of the problem...
