Truee, would've been way smarter than what i did hahahh
There fit 25600 ply in one study… because max is 64 chapters, the max for one chapter is 200 moves.
@Jisu101
I fit it in 3000 apparently in one chapter! That seems to be the upper limit based on my experience
That’s strange. How long are you on lichess?
Maybe it is that you have access to more because you already live long on lichess.
But probably the answer to the original is “Yes you have got to the max moves.”
@Jisu101
Hmmm perhaps idk hahahh
Been active for 1.5 years-ish
you can also link to chapters from within a move annotation. to get the chapter link (a second hash id in the URL), use the sharing button below the board, and look for the chapter URL.
That would be a cheap work-around. Congratulations for the effort of finding out such a limit, though. I usually can't navigate within such small modules, so such amount of information in a small text box (user variation display i mean, don't know how best to refer to that interactive zone with user created SAN variations).
I never tried this chapter linking from annotation. It might not be practical for the user, but as a creator you could at least have some "continuity" or consecutiveness (not a word, yet understandable). Would be interesting if that helps you though.
@dboing
I've kept most of the bulk in the mainline in a separate chapter, calling others just mainline alternatives... works fine I think!
Thanks :)
