I don't care if you believe me or not , but that's ok
Hi, I know this is not the closest related topic, however no better related forum post was found. Nevertheless: My question: Is there a way, to punish players who accuse you falsely of cheating? Neither a report button was there when I checked it a week ago. The wrong assumption because people playing slow, is just a myth, since there are full automated solutions how to cheat with an engine, and what is the purpose of this anyway. Especially when playing mostly for fun and casual games? Not to forget that there is an analysis board where everyone is able to investigate average centipawnloss her or himself. I just want to mention it here, because I am afraid that this behavior might go or has already gone viral, which is bad for chess. And it is far by chance since it happened to me within the last 3 weeks 3 times (=pissed, never cheated my whole life), which implicates some significant general behavior tendency. This could be easily restricted by e.g. after 3d false accusation = banned for 3 days, by enabling the report button again.
@QEDemonstrandum it isn't an external help that is in any way related to the game I'm playing at that point, since it's solely the computer analysis of the previous match. But yeah I wouldn't be surprised if someone would tell me to stop doing that.
@thechessguy2_0 @lovlas Ok thank you for your answers. I will try to be more careful. I have done that almost every day for years and never got any problems, I must have been lucky.
@ioxod I would not post with two different accounts on my own thread. I do not know what made you believe that I am doing this, there is no point.
@PartyMcFly Did you receive notifications about being accused of cheating or do you mean people sent you private messages to accuse you? In either cases, I think it is not a big problem. This is their feeling after a loss. They might believe sincerely that their opponent has cheated. I do not know if this deserves a punishment since they may also catch real cheaters.
I have a question related to this. I receive sometimes refund due to a loss against a cheater but I did not find the button to open the corresponding game. Can anyone tell me how to do it? I am curious to see the games where I lost against cheaters as I have never been good at detecting them and never reported anyone.
