cheaters and cheating

griffindabeast : look damn, in my performances, I beat players ranked 1500, 1600 in quick play and my worst defeats are against players ranked 1000, 1200 and 1300 elo, you find that normal and well not me, this is not normal to see players ranked 1000, 1200, 1300 elo play with such performances !!

my elo ranking in rapid is falling and heading towards the bottom a little more every day, I have lost a little more than 40 elo points since yesterday, and this is because of players who start playing against me with great performances, these players nevertheless have a ranking much much lower than mine and therefore, I absolutely do not understand their sudden and extraordinary performance when I have beaten players of this level without any difficulty before.

They start playing complicated overtures, I personally find that their performances are suspect, frankly.

They do not use chess software because it could be seen and they would risk sanctions, but there are other ways to get help without it being obvious, when they play against a player of their level , strangely they lose against them and make lots of mistakes, etc.

This is why I find all this suspicious!!

my elo went from 1694 to 1656, i.e. almost 40 points lost and there is no way it will go back up, that's why I find these defeats against players who should not be playing at this level suspicious. game.

you just have to look damn it, I win 33 games so, 33 victories and 6 defeats and I ultimately lose 16 elo points before yesterday, I win 28 games so 28 victories yesterday and I have 7 defeats and I lose 22 elo points and each time I win, I only gain very few elo points and each time I lose, I lose 10 to 14 or 15 elo points and as luck would have it, it is against players who have a ranking much lower than mine and who play a very very solid game for their level, with few errors, little imprecision, little blundering, and very few blunders, that's why it is frankly shady, very very shady, do they use books to get help?

go reread the first reply to your thread.

you've just publicly shamed after you were told how to handle cheaters and not to publicly shame.

@lechatsciamois if you want to raise your rating I’d suggest looking at your mistakes instead of looking for cheaters.

@lechatsciamois

You will definitely enjoy playing chess again if you don't suspect a cheater in every opponent who beats you.

@lechatsciamois By looking over several of your games I can only say, that you perfectly deserve all your wins and losses.

You hang pieces in almost every game. Sometimes you manage to win anyways and you may feel great, but "winning" and "playing good" can be 2 totally seperate things.

In your case (and that's just my personal stupid not worthy opinion) you don't play good quality chess - you just play the quality of chess, that is on your level. Nothing more and nothing less. That means, thay you may win some cool games, but also lose to some much weaker players. And it's for almost sure - that will happen again and again, not because of cheaters, but because of your unstable blunder-style-play.

As Ben Finegold says: "The truth hurts".

Feel free to call me a moron. But if you want to reflect on that, then I'd like to point you to the following 2 videos from Ben:

Have fun on your lifelong chess journey.

I recently wrote a program that converts keystrokes e.g. e2e4 into moves. Am I allowed to use this or is this considered cheating? It doesn't really give me any advantages as far as I can see, but I'd love to play without having to use the mouse.

it would be best to either start a new thread or even better, email.

also, I might be wrong, but I believe lichess supports blind users who don't use a mouse, so entering moves in via keyboard might already be supported.
