#169 - actually i agree with you and I should retract my statement. Indeed it would be better to go to abrok.eu to get the latest development version of stockfish rather than to buy fat fritz 2 - fat fritz 2 is no more customer ready than simply stockfish due to their development versions

Chessbase is literally useless unless you are a coach, rich, or IM/GM (maybe FM). The top engines move doesn't really matter much except for the case with top GM's and super GM's having to prepare with the best move in every position. At most levels itsn't so much engine preparation but more so your own analyzation of positions and strategies/ideas. Every year there is a new "better" chessbase but chessbase 11 probably still works just as fine. Maybe there are less games to analyze of your opponents, but it works. Plus, chessgames.com is a great website anyways.
