Anyone Interested in a Comprehensive 1. f4 Study?

#3 an early d4 by black doesn't bother me, but d2 is annoying!

Fresh Bird theory: 1. f4 d5 2. Nf3 d4 3. g3 d3 4. Bg2 d2 5. d1=Q#

Which makes d2 even more annoying, if you ask me.

I don't understand where you find hostility.
My point is that since you didn't address my comment, your comment regarding my username is just you rambling for the purpose of speaking. Now, if this criticism was something irreverent, you should find the answer unnecessary and maybe upsetting. Another problem, but one that's easily accepted, is the assumptions that were made.

Hi @Hierophantc4, I've tried to study a variation of this opening: the polar Bear System. in my opinion it is a creative way to play this opening. I have the pdf book of GM Henrik Danielsen, "The Polar Bear System, strong and potent". if you are interested, I will send it to you by email.

I'm quite fond of that approach, with the pawns on c3 and Na3. I find that when Black plays well, I don't like the mainline with Qe1 all that much even though it's objectively fine. The main problem is that I hardly ever face anyone who plays correctly with 2... g6, so I don't really get the opportunity to practice in it! If Black plays poorly in the opening, I prefer to play with pawns on e3 and b3. Lately, I've been using my rare opportunities to face 2... g6 to put the 3.c4 idea to the test.

@jonesmh I took your initial commentary, "I'm interested what you could know that I don't" in excessively good faith and presumed you were interested to learn something new, an inquiry which I replied to by presenting several lines that were most likely new to you. It's fairly obvious that I took your comment to mean what it said, but you apparently meant something entirely different by it.

In my humble opinion the Bird ist a fantastic resource as white and offers incredible attacking chances. Since blacks first move will often be d5 anyway it is simply a reversed dutch with an extra tempo. The positions are unique and exciting. The study definetly helped me a Lot to get a serious grip on the opening although I am not yet brave enough to try the sturm gambit. Enjoy the study and have a look. It really is fantastic!
