An option to play random middlegames with any player

A feature to play random positions with any player
Just like there is a database of chess played games
and an incredible Machine that made puzzles possible,
I heard It has been improved and classified by themes
So my proposal to add to the lichess gameplay

It is to play random middlegames, random positions
with any player
Example Pick a number, number 20 or number 15,
that is the turn and play the game until the end.

In lichess as a rule of thumb, there is blitz, bullet
rapid and slow games... everything well thought out
There is also the option of choosing colour,
Types of tournaments and even variants.

What I ask is if It is possible to add the feature, the option
to play past previous lichess games of any player
What do I mean by this, I do not mean to navigate
to such a player look at his profile, pick a game and review it
Rather a different deal

Its what I call
"Half chess"

That is to play only half of the game,
How can this be introduced,
Imagine that a game has 36 moves

Then the idea is to cut the game in half,
and play only from 19 to 36,
but all this as an option feature, and automatic database
So that a player picks a game of "half chess" and
continue playing the game, first move in the middlegame.

It has the advantage, or drawback sorry that many
positions do not have equal material
but still It has to be great to either win a won game
or defend lost position

Ok so this is not very polished, this awkward advanced
Stuff,

Since Its hard to reinvent the wheel,
perhaps some sort of puzzles database could be used,
puzzles come from games, that is to play the game
from the "puzzle turn" until the end, checkmate sometimes.

I was just going to post a similar idea, and then I found your post. A database of equal positions at X number of moves into games. This would be useful to play against other humans and computers too.

It's a recommended Dvoretsky training method.

Thanks, I will look up this Dvoretsky training method.

It is possible to play such a games using 'from position' on the lichess site. The game has to be found manually, so would be better if performed by a third party.

If any other players, are interested in playing from position correspondence games, then please message me, and I will setup.

As I wrote in a previous post:

From position games are only available in standard chess. So setting up games in the middle or end game is only available in that and not for variants at the moment. To play from position for variants visit lichess sister site pychess.org based on the same open source code, mission and values. For shogi from position goto lishogi.org.
