Why is the "Continue from here" in play from "position" only for standard and not the variants. Analyse from postion is available for variants, surely challenging a friend with"continue from here" is very similar? Please introduce, since I want to use to setup handicap systems to challenge higher rated players.
I have found an excellent variant site that can achieve my request to play from position.
It is based on lichess and called https://www.pychess.org
I highly recommend it, but needs new players.
The only issue for me is that it does not offer correspondance chess at the moment. But please pass the word around!
