After you lose, respect your opponent and say either good game or well played.

I am not a native speaker but you are using an „imperative“ form in the title, aren’t you? Why so harsh?
If you imply in every second sentence that those who don't follow your example are morally inferior, you are not leading a constructive discussion.
@Attrix
You seem to be fixated on the idea of forced, so here's a little example.
About half of people don't wash their hands after using the (public) bathroom. www.bustle.com/articles/147771-4-gross-things-that-happen-when-you-dont-wash-your-hands
Of those, only 3% perform the action correctly. www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2018/06/29/usda-study-most-people-dont-wash-their-hands-correctly/745048002/
Now you meet someone and they stick their hand out to shake. No one is there forcing you to comply, but social convention "forces" you to. Society has claimed that it's nice/kind/polite/... and you just do it.

How about a forced sign of respect: saluting in the military. We could extend this to saluting higher rated chess players. (Sarcasm)Oh, I think it would be such great respect to kneel before them to applaud heir accomplishments.

Back to the other topic that you are avoiding: Why persuading the players to lie? If the game wasn't good or well played, why force the lie? Even a simple "thank you for your time" is a form of lying as the opponent had the choice.

I now have another who understands the form your request takes in #40. (@sarg0n has many great ideas, and I don't intend to imply that he agrees with everything I said.)

You only think that this would be a good idea because it's your idea. I mostly think that this is a bad idea because of my personal experience with evil people bending the system for their own benefit.
Attrix, do you understand what you did wrong?
Either way we should stop.
Attrix is good at criticizing others. He is a narcissist and can no see his own defects or even realize he has any defects. It would be much more productive to improve his chess skills and increase his ratings.
Well, now that you chimed in again, hangrad, all is better. Thanks.
