Adding Rapid and Slow rating categories. - Please vote !

I'm in favor of having a rapid category (8 min to 25 or 30 min) and classical for anything longer, but I'm curious as to how one's rating from previous classical games would be calculated.

Like many here, all of the "classical" games I've played so far would fall under the new rapid rating parameters. Would the games simply be counted as one's classical rating until one establishes a new rapid rating? Or would it be vice versa?
@Xeper Your still gonna b over 2500 in booth
it would b rayssis to discrimainate based on classical or rapid views witch is wut other board games do
Hope that helps!
@bobMormon Thanks for sharing your wisdom on the matter, Bob. ;-)

And I'm planning on hitting 2500 today, if the Lords of Kobol will it.
@Xeper , the pool link has a description which should answer your question:

"Note: Most likely, Rapid will receive the existing ratings, while new Slow/Classical categories will be initialized with 1500 for everyone (just like variants were introduced). Otherwise, depending on the technical challenge, Lichess developers may do a chronological re-calculation of ratings for a accurate Rapid/Slow/Classical separation, based on game history (for those who have already played longer time controls). "

@DunnoItAll , yes a few people would prefer the blitz limit to be extended into 10 min, some mentioned 15 min which is the standard used in other clubs. But such change would be less likely to happen due to technical reasons. And I noticed most were fine with just continuing it with a Rapid category. So sorry for not having added that in the voting poll. PS: Note that in FIDE the Rapid category starts at 10 min.
@Linnemann , not sure what did you mean with "twitter style info". If you have a hard time reading long texts (like I have), I'd suggest using a narrator software such as TextAloud and try reading lens for presbiopia/hyperopia. :-)
pfff.

0-1 should be bullet
1-5 should be blitz
5-15 should be fast
15-infinity should be long

thats twitter style.
0-1 = bullet (any inc means it becomes blitz)
1-5 = blitz (up to +3 secs inc to stay blitz)
5-45 = rapid (up to 15 secs inc to stay rapid)
45 - infinity = classical

i would support that. Not more time controls, because four is a barrier after which humans can not any more intuitively grasp the amount (That has been shown by scientific studies). So more ratings would make that thing too complex.
