A new variant idea

"For example, if a queen who was standing on a3 took a pawn or anything else on a6 for example, the figure it took would go to a3 and the queen would go to a6. "

What if the white Queen was on a1, taking a black pawn from a6? Does that pawn promote?
How does the swapping rule work with en passant?
Can I use this to get out of pins? Say, white has the King on e1, and the Queen on e2, Black has a pawn on b5, a Rook on e3, the King on e8, with squares c6 and d7 empty, can white play Qxb5+?

"plus, it seems like an easy variant to create, considering its simply just swapping pieces"

The Lichess sources are available on GitHub, anyone can clone it and work on it. Why don't you create the variant if it's so easy? I'm sure having an implementation makes it easier to get something added than "here's an idea, please implement it ASAP".
Ok @Abigail-III , I can easily answer all your questions. First of all, yes the pawn will promote to whatever it wants. The swapping rule works with en passant like any other way. For example, if a pawn standing on e5 saw a pawn move up two pieces up to f5, the pawn on f5 would move to e5 and the e5 pawn, would go to f5. Yes, you can use this to get out of pins as along as you do not get checked or checkmated in doing so. I agree, this is a simple idea, but not as simple to program it. I am also going to be working as soon as I find the right tools. But let's just say, I finish working on this idea after a month, and the Lichess mods, they simply won't like it. I agree, it was dumb to ask Lichess mods to simply make my idea come to life, but I need their approval, so that my dream can come to reality.
@MoonRising "First of all, yes the pawn will promote to whatever it wants."

How does that work? It's whites move, white's clock is running, and white has to wait for black to make a decision what to promote the piece to? What if black just waits till the clock runs down? Is promotion delayed until it's blacks move? What if black has premoved? How does the move show up in PGN? And how does it show up if black clocks runs out before black has decided what to promote the pawn to?

Also, what if whites King is on b1? Is Qxa6 allowed? If the pawn promotes to Queen or Rook, the King is in check, but promoting to Knight or Bishop would not put the King in check.
First, thanks to @Abigail-III for taking the time for thinking of these questions. You have made me realize, that swaps to the pawn promotion will not be allowed IF the pawn's promotion MIGHT check or checkmate the king. After the promoting pawn swap, the timer switches sides and black chooses what she/he wants her/his promotion to be on their OWN TIME. That ends that turn.

As said before, any swap that will not check or checkmate your king, is allowed. If you are thinking of a swap that might possibly check or checkmate the king, it is counted as an illegal move and will not be allowed.
