It's a translation of an old article of mine so I will update soon, if you have any tips feel free to share ;)

my tip is to pick the drunkest person and play against them

i think woodpecker method is a bit overrated, and if you spent that time on doing puzzle rush or doing easy tactics sorted by pattern (like pin/destruction etc) instead of repeating the same problems you would have better results.

We have the clear winner here. Just pay attention if you casually meet the drunken version of Magnus..

I agree in the sense that it's not better than doing different puzzles.
But usually people that do it wouldn't have done the same amount of work on new puzzles every time. So in practice it works very well, especially with something like checkmate patterns divided by theme or 1001 exercises for club players also by theme

thats true, i am 100% certain i did way mroe puzzle in my free week of chess . com premium, than in the month or two after :D i am trying to work on it now, but it was easier when it was a game with points to chase for each puzzle. wish lichess implemented something like that as well, despite knowing its just a stupid game points for completing puzzles, i felt compelled to move up the ladder to the next level anyway :D

yeah, chessable and completing a book maybe give the same feeling , but if someone has the work ethic just trying to improve chesstempo rating should be great
they also have quicker puzzles and books on the website / themes
