I don't recommend sugar things during the tournament at all.

In the evening, before going to sleep in order to have something for the next day round, sure.

But not during the tournament day.

Bacon is processed meat which is a type 1 carcinogen (same category as smoking). Eggs have high cholesterol. There are many more consistent and cheaper ways to get protein, which don't involve ruining your health or animals having to suffer.
