This is tragic. My condolences to the family.

However I disagree about the Bangladeshi Chess Federation's call for doctors at chess tournaments.

This would be advisable if the risk for heart failure was significantly higher at chess tournaments than in everyday life - which I doubt.

However, there should be defibrillators, and the staff should have proper training - in fact, everybody should have defi training, and defis should be present in public buildings.

So, lichess's statement is right here: "Lichess encourages easy access to defibrillators and trained medical personnel at chess tournaments."
