Such sad news to read. My condolences to GM Rahman’s family and friends. Thank you for sharing some of his best games.
He is from my country. Our pride. Devastated to learn the news.
It might not be much, but I'd like to offer my condolences. Chess is a stressful game and there needs to be safety measures so that incidents like this don't happen again. Also, quick question, since Rahman died, did that match count?

While it's understandable that the ill-fated game may be a topic of concern, I can tell you that this situation has allegedly put the event officials in a difficult position.
In the unfortunate event of a player's death during an official chess game, responses can possibly vary depending on the governing body in terms of game results.
I don't know if there is a pre-existing rule for such an occurrence, but I'm guessing they have declared the game annulled due to the circumstances. I could be wrong but, it does seem appropriate that they declare the game as void, out of respect.
However, I wouldn't be surprised if GM Ziaur Rahman's opponent was declared the winner. Reason being he unfortunately left the game...
By the way, one of my primary concerns about this unfortunate turn of events is the mental health of the players who were physically present at the tournament. Especially the gentleman who played with the late GM.
He (GM Hossain) has had an unprecedented experience, witnessing the death of a player who was sat across from him.
Could you imagine getting out of bed one morning, excited for a good game of chess, only to watch your opponent pass away mid-game?
That was one hell of an experience for this one guy, for sure, possibly leaving him with a feeling he probably won't able to shake anytime soon in his chess career. And I do feel sorry for him, not to mention the family, friends and fans of the deceased.
RIP GM Ziaur Rahman

The 12th Round will be played again, Enamul will get walk over points. On the other hand few board has winning position, those will be newly played again. And Zia's Son Tahsin will most provably not play in the last 2 rounds which means His opponent who was loosing in 12th round, the opponent will get free point and Tahsin will be not in olympiad team. Which was Zia's main concern but sadly the fact is offifical's had to host the unfinished game as new games.
