The Trend of Openings

Chess variantChess PersonalitiesLichess
A series of mysterious opening name accounts popped up in the last few months in the Antichess community. Who were they?

The f4 sultan

It all started with him. He took upon himself the challenge to beat everybody with 1.f4 as white and 1.f5 or 1.f6 as black. He peaked at 2200+ and was consistently able to maintain 2150.
He is, none other than @f4opening a.k.a. @townes-paycheck. @yourself101010 quotes:

if you weren't able to get a good position against townes before the middlegame, you are basically lost.

Here is it in exact wording:

This was one of his last few games before he closed his account (end of 2020) for whatever reason:

Flop copies

As f4opening was a huge success, lots of people tried to copy by making thematic accounts but failed because they didn't know some opening traps in their own lines. I was one of them. I made an account called @c4-opening (as c4opening was taken already) and played 1.c4 and 1.c5 all the time until I realised that Na3 c5 is 0-1 so I closed that account.

Transition to d3

Since people started learning antichess theory, they usually learnt the forced lines for d3, d4 and e4 first. But then this guy came and proved that people forget these elementary forced wins after they reach 2000. He was/is (inactive now) the legend @d3a5. He played 1.d3 as white and 1.a5 or 1.a6 as black.
At one point in time, he had beat the entire top 100 lb with 1.d3. Most of them fell for this trap:

(Most people still fall for it)

He also made a "d3 collection" where he beat 2100+ players with 1.d3 (in 3 parts):

Soon after a few months of losing to d3, most people learnt all possible lines in d3 and so since then, d3a5 went inactive. Looking back at my conversation with him, I might have a slight idea of who he is.

Other thematic accounts

Seeing the success of d3a5, people tried to make thematic accounts again. Notable of them being @nh3nh6 (1.Nh3 as white and 1.Nh3 as black), @Nc3Nc6 (1.Nc3 as white and 1.Nc6 as black) @c4c6 (1.c4 as white and 1.c6 as black), and still others fell for their opening traps.

@nh3nh6

People say he was @Dragon-Lord, but I know for a fact that he is somebody else. If the user allows, I'll tell you who he is.
Soon people learnt that h4 Nh6 and g4 Nh6 were 0-1 so he left too.

@Nc3Nc6

This is one account that surprises me, as both 1.nc3 and 1.nc6 are losing by force. I don't know how he manages to keep 1880+ rating. This is the alt of @calbernandhowbefan.

@c4c6

Another mystery! The guy put in his bio that he was an alt of @Fins-Love, but my evidence suggests otherwise.
He probably rageclosed after losing 125 rating in one day. Although this could have been a success, had it been by the right person, as 1.c6 isn't losing by force to any opening (Except 1.e3, but that is impossible for humans to solve).

Who now?

Nobody knows what thematic account may pop up next, but I am sure it would be based on some elementary line.
