So Lichess started to mess with analysis move lists and mobile layout. On mobile, they added a "fish" button that sits next to the Explorer and Practice buttons. This button will both start computer analysis and show the computer analysis header. This introduces some issues:
- You can't see the computer eval for the current move unless engine is started - even if you have already analysed it
- You can't access the computer eval configuration unless the engine is running
- There are some LiChess Tools features that are accessible from the computer eval header, like Move Assistant
As a solution I've added a new theme called "No fish button on mobile" which reverts the behavior to the original one. (see https://siderite.dev/blog/lichess-tools---user-manual/#themes)
There are some other changes planned by Lichess, particularly a "Disclosure mode", which changes the way variations will work. It would be off on desktop and on on mobile by default. It's not yet published, but it's pretty funky :) You should be able to disable it from the analysis hamburger menu.
Don't forget to use the "Mobile" theme if you use Lichess web on mobile, it helps a lot.
Thanks for people continuing to contribute with bug reports, feature requests and translations! Just REMEMBER TO SAVE when using Crowdin :D (see https://lichess.org/@/TotalNoob69/blog/crowdin-saviour/PMdwRZUV)
Cheers!
