New feature suggestion: be able to add a database of games

I have already suggested to the designers of lichess, but without success, to be able to add a database of games prior to 1952 (indeed, the Masters database only starts in 1952). I would like to be able to find games of the great players of the past (Capablanca, Alekhine, Lasker, etc.).

Perhaps this feature could be added with the Lichess Tools extension: to be able to add a database of your choice locally, with, for example, a new tab "My local database" ?

@pascalg this will be part of the companion app, which is a larger project I have not started yet. In theory, it will allow you the ability to curate your own chess games database.

But if you want and can provide an API to access a chess database that can be accessed freely and without complicated authorizations, I can work on it somehow...
