You should probably move away from the spawn point (pavilion) to another location and fight some more enemies.

No, just the sword.
The monkeys' heads all swivel towards you simultaneously.
Then, one jumps down to take you on, while the others continue climbing, as a mysterious force tries to push them back down.
The monkeys are gaining.
The one that has jumped down comes closer to you, fangs bared.
You notice that its head is beeping very loudly.
