I'm with Magnus with this one. Any increment really would be fine if the starting time is 2 mins or over. At least pick a popular one like 3+2.

I'd prefer 3+0 if we are going no increment just because most tournaments are 3+0 these days and you almost never see a tournament longer that that for variants. If you play the variant a lot you are going to know what to do in the first few moves most likely. If you don't, you aren't going to stand a chance anyway

Guys stop proposing new time control. The-lone-wolf, the organizer of the event, decided that the time control will be 2+5 and that is definite.

Btw, 2+5 is a perfect time control. It allows that a winner will be decided from the understanding of the position instead of fast mouse movers, which is what @the-lone-wolf and @PepsiNGaming want.

I often lose in time pressure in 2+5. Maybe it's also my connection. I have already accepted the time control. It's just that I like 5+3 a lot more. I'm relieved the time control isn't 0+1.

And i'm happy with 2+5, being a relatively slow player i'm ok with 3+2 or 5+0 as well.
