I did not know about these rules. Ive been very busy these days.

I offered you a time for monday 15 UTC
I'm not the president so I think @bwmtone should make the final decision. If he tells patrick to play, then he will play and the problem will be solved
I am not a TD for ACWC and I defer to @ODMWND and @TheUnknownGuyReborn, however, as I stated early on in this tournament, please make every effort to actually play your match. In the candidates stage we should not have technicality wins.

@patrickrg is correct in terms of the rules and @llIVIll should have responded quicker. However, I think this match should be played.

Just my opinion.

Hey, @patrickrg,

It's totally understandable that any player can have a busy agenda and may need to know in advance to plan ahead. What the rules state is that, by not having answered by Friday 23:59 UTC, @llIVIll has lost the right to propose times himself, and should stick to any of the ones you previously proposed.

But deciding unilaterally on a different fourth time slot, which is non compliant with the 3 hours separation rule, is most likely not correct.

I personally couldn't agree more with Tone, and would prefer you both to be gracious, forget the misunderstanding and play a competitive yet friendly match. :) But, of course, the decision is up to the tournament organizers.

True, thanks for noticing, Siddiq. Edited.
After a lot of consideration I decided that we will play the match. WhydoIplayhere, tone and agburanar are right, this is not the correct way of winning. But yesterday after seeing that I could claim a win I panicked and I couldn't resist the temptation of doing so. Now I feel that I shouldn't have done that because this tournament is to play antichess not for seeking technical difficulties, as tone said at the first round of the tournament.
With that being said, @patrickrg vs @llIVIll will take place Monday 15 UTC. Good luck and have fun! :)
Thank you. Goodluck.
And thanks to everyone who took the time to weigh in.
Patrick, that's very nice of you. I can feel not getting an answer as days passed by was stressful and frustrating, and claiming the win was a way to move on. But I'm glad you and llIVIll will finally play. Good luck to you both!
