After you complete a game, tell the person you enjoyed the game and would like to catch up again, so follow. If they enjoyed the game, chances are they will follow you and you can follow them.

Advise 1: get a rating of 2000 or higher in rapid, blitz , classical , (ultra) bullet or a variant like 3-check, chess960, antichess
Advise 2: once you have that rating play tournaments in that category/variant (but without using an engine)
Advise 3: finish that tournament as one of the top 10 players or hope that you played against one of the final top 3 during the tournament.
Advise 4: write in forums on lichess (but do NOT create a topic like "how to get more followers")
