Yeah, that's kid of the subject of this whole discussion, and some people still seem to deny it exists...
Just because is the subject is not the answer to everything here.
Sure, because this one 20 min video that you postet has the inconditional answers to my questions.
Yes it does
No the start would be to make your own arguments instead of posting a video. Otherwise I just could post a debunk video of this one, but we're not on youtube here.
My arguments are as the videos, so answer them.
If you feel bullied because I don't accept blindly arguments from a known misogynist (Peterson) and don't give you an essay debunking a no-effort post of yours, well, feel bullied and just report me.
Nobody cares if you accept blindly arguments and that don't make sense at all " don't accept arguments = bullying". bullying = attacking. Read again what i wrote, don't evade well stated arguments.
My pleasure.
No no, the pleasure is all mine

I don't understand so you need to articulate more than just saying "because it's the patriarchy." How does the patriarchy cause men and women to work different hours?
Well...
@TurtleMat said in #416:
Or do you want to disagree that women make most of the care work FOR FREE ? which of course let them with less time and energy to work the extra 5 hours.
@replaced said in #423:
I can find the studies showing the same thing for other countries.
@replaced said in #423:
Give me ONE flaw.
Same answer for both of those : You still haven't presented any STUDIES.
@replaced said in #423:
Even if they are a misogynist it doesn't invalidate what they say.
No, the fact that they say mysoginist things does.
@replaced said in #423:
What are you talking about? Both men and women are saying that there is and isn't a wage gap. It's not just women claiming it.
I'm talking about you saying :
@replaced said in #414:
Women are always on the "wrong side" because of misleading information being pushed such as the wage gap. I suspect to push an ideological narrative.
which is clearly you pinning sexism on women inventing stuff.
I recap :
- You don't understand your own sources
- you "forget" what you wrote 2 posts ago.
- You try to find all the different excuses to either say sexism is innexistant or irrelevant, or to pin it on women.
- you ignore the overwhelming evidence of discrimination
- you aren't in the slightest informed about the mechanisms of the subject at hand
- you don't even read my answers to your questions.
I thought you wanted a discussion, and were just not that good at having one. But no, you just want to be right and keep denying the reality of sexist structures and behaviors. And you do so by presenting random points without structure or the beginning of a constructed argumentation, and certainly without any follow up.
So just deflect this comment of mine how you want and go feel superior ;)

Actually, as an exception, I'll still link videos.
here are 2 videos On the subjects of sexism and racism. Intersectionality FTW :)
I already know who is gonna enjoy them and who isn't ;)
(at min 48 there is a part on Peterson)
(came out before the other one I think)
The videos are totally irrelevant with the points about the pay gap, they are more about canceling peterson and other guys in general. Can you present some evidence that pay gap exists cause of misogyny and not because of other factors or not? Nevermind, i'm too old for this shit... good luck to anyone trying to make some points that are not based on misogyny !

That comes down to personal choice and not only that there is still a significant difference with average amount of hours worked per week for people with no children regardless of marital status. There's nothing wrong with personal choice.
@TurtleMat said in #426:

A study means "a detailed investigation and analysis of a subject or situation." What was presented were two studies according to the dictionary. However you have not presented any studies.

Albert Einstein said mysoginist things therefore all of what he said was wrong.

Making a bunch of assertions isn't evidence of discrimination. I want evidence and proof.

How does there exist sexist structures and behaviors?

Seems fair sven, some odd comments here.
Although then again I think there are a higher-than normal socially-challenged people that play chess, and some (not all or the majority) of the comments the original poster received might be (more charitably) considered to be stemming from this than misogyny.
(edit) - oops I was replying to an earlier comment. People seem to be getting very overheated here about culture wars, when really this is just the experience of one woman (or girl) who wants to publish her experience. Personally I look forward to the time when men and women are equally expected to look after children and the like - in the old days there was a good reason for the division of labour due to manual work, wars and more, these days not so much.

i don't know exactly who I'm playing most of the time unless i know them in person, but when I do play online, whether its a boy or girl, everyone plays just as well. And if you feel like this is happening, just report it or stand up for yourself and the others by publicizing the problem and bringing awareness. Great job @QueenRosieMary !

My wife plays on this site. There was an incident a few weeks ago in an arena where a user made several over the top sexual comments about her. We both reported this user, and I received a notification that "somebody you reported has been banned" within a minute or so. I then found myself paired against this same opponent in another arena a week later, which makes me wonder whether the notification I received was accurate and whether Lichess is conflating "sanctioning" and "banning".
More generally speaking, simply trying to keep offending users off the site is a fool's errand. I agree with the blog post here that what's more important is setting a culture where such things do not go unchallenged.

One possible solution appears to be to just remove chat and forum posting.
