Chess.com or lichess?

I beat Hess in a tournament back in 2002. Not the GM, but his dad.
I was rated about 1400 and he would join tournaments because he would bring his son to them. He was about 1400 too. We played for the money. I won all my games and took home $250. Woohoo!
Whether this site or the other, its still chess.
Been there, done that.
I decided to join that site, pay for a diamond membership, and found that I couldnt break a 1800 rating barrier.
Its not the Chess Websites, its the players that join the sites.
Some people claim that the other site is fraudulent, i have my own weird theories about ratings and how these sites are operated.
But there is no proof that these strange theories are true.
I used to get notices from both Lichess and Chess dot com that they caught a cheater and refunded my rating points back. But it's been a while since I got an email.
Though you must pay to get the full experience of Chess.com, I prefer it over Lichess, since it is easier to navigate. Chess.com is still amazing even if you don't pay for a membership. Also, Chess.com has much more ways to improve your chess, such as blogs and video lessons. Sure there are ads, but they are not in the way, they are just to the side. A Chess.com membership is worth it, but even if you don't have one, you can still enjoy the site a lot! Lichess is of course a worthy competitor of Chess.com. This comment will probably get a lot of dislikes, but I'm just stating my opinion.
Before i joined any of the major sites, I played on Nexuschess, that site was closed last year.
People were using it for other intentions than chess, there was even a message on my phone: this site is not safe....
