I have two questions about the long-term development of Lichess:

  1. Will the mobile app get the same love the website gets?
  2. ?Do you see the website fully translated in the future (including all the “about us” pages and the practice section)

Thank you for everything you’ve been doing. I’ve always wanted to help you grow and I hope I’ll make a small difference through translating and broadcasting

Hi @Lichess and @NNWill I also would very much like new variants on Lichess, but do not want to play on pychess.org very much. Could we play some of pychess' variations also on Lichess?

all the things I'll ask will certainly make lichess BETTER & that's my dream (Lichess to be the BEST & most sophisticated chess site in the world!)

  1. a chess vote system :
  • this feature is only for spectators.
  • spectators can actively move a piece during a game.
  • When the game ends results of votes appear.
  • can solve the requested brilliant & good move feature.
  • can have both fun & learning potentials.
  1. brief information about a user abilities.
  • on profiles of players.
  • examples such as: speed, accuracy, main opening, tactical ability & etc.
  • can be extracted from the insight feature of the player.
  • ladder lists of players of this feature is interesting (at least for following that player & learn from him)
  1. fritz & Chessbase outstanding features.
  • searching games by position set up.
  • full opening report about certain user for preparation.
  • interactively showing best & bad squares when clicking on a piece.
  • actively showing the threat during replaying the game.
  1. evaluation of the position by elements or imbalances such as space, pawn structure, material, initiative, superior minor peice, key roads & king safety
  • inspired by "How to Reassess Your Chess" book by author Jeremy Silman.
  • curious on how stockfish engin evaluate any position so we can extract some information about evaluation instead of numerical evaluation eg: +4,
  • 7 & so on.
  1. expanding tournament report (found after a tournament is finished) so you can add:
  • longest game link.
  • shortest game link.
  • high rated player games link.
  • viewing the tournament games by names of opening & sister opening categories.
  1. expanding the analysis report of a game so you can add :
  • how many best moves on the game.
  • how many inaccuracies, mistakes & blunders on each phase of game such as (opening, middle game & endgame)
  • missed wins.
  • average time of moves on (opening, middle game and endgame)
  • on which move u spent most of the your clock time.
  1. insight feature enhancement :
  • including the opponent side in the feature eg: what's my accuracy when my opponent play the French defence as black or what is the average accuracy of my opponents when they are low in time.
  • links to the games from which the insight feature extracted it's information eg: all games of the accuracy of the Queen move (accuracy by piece move).
  1. team members rank.
  • to encourage team members to participate in team events.
  • ranks can be by pieces of chess : so best rank is king (kings of team)
lower rank is pawn (pawns of the team).
  • ranks should be calculated by accumulated win points a player have for the team.
  1. clock time difference.
  • take place in active game.
  • it's the difference of time in seconds between you & your opponent.
  • can ease time management because of easy understanding when u glance at your time.
  1. puzzles by stockfish diversity of of reply (replying to the player by top 1st move of stockfish & if the player solved it correctly then showing the same position but this time replying with top 2nd move of stockfish)
  • for clarification see
    https://lichess.org/study/lyNVULkz
  1. lastly please hurry up with the LICHESS TUTOR feature, long standing.
also please excuse me for the long post i hope u find it beneficial! & Thank you very much.

If during the game the time of one player runs out, but the opponent
can not win the game using any sequence of legal moves, then, according
to the FIDE rules, the game is a draw. In Lichess such games are judged as
lost on time. Are you going to change that?
