What is your best ever game??

The person with the most lichess games is @german11, but he has quantity, and decent quality. I, myself, have beaten him in a blitz game in the lichess liga.
However, I am looking for some absolute quality. I am going to choose the best game and put it in the description of my 100-member

For fun! Me beating @german11( DONT LOOK AT MOVE 30 FOR BLACK. NO HANGING ROOKS TO SEE. ) :

My best chess victory of my career to date is a victory over the Rybka program. I successfully defeated it (beat it on time) in a long-drawn fortress position (I didn't let it escape to a draw via a threefold repetition of the position or the 50-move rule). Rybka has a FIDE rating of approximately 3200. I think it was even the strongest player in the world for a period. It's much stronger than any human (for example, the highest FIDE rating for humans, as far as I remember, is 2882. Magnus Carlsen's highest rating was that). I've managed to make many, many draws with Rybka, and even won. But all of those games were on my home computer.
And if I were to choose from Lichess games... It would probably be more appropriate to choose based on the highest FIDE rating of the opponent I beat on Lichess. I've also beaten a number of opponents on Lichess who have higher ratings than him: for example, 2800+ and 2900+ on Lichess. But there's no information on Lichess about their FIDE ratings. Then this would be my victory over a grandmaster (at the time of our game, he had a FIDE rating of 2514, and his career-high FIDE rating was 2640):

https://lichess.org/IIEwOIsI/black#114

I successfully beat the grandmaster (beat him on time). If anyone doesn't like winning on time, let me explain:

  • chess is a game with a chess clock;
  • and in the middle of this game, I had a position that was winnable even by chess standards;
  • but my original strategy for the game was to try to win on time. And that's what I did. I realized my position in the middlegame was much better (after analyzing the game, I see that my position was actually completely winning, not just much better). But I correctly continued to stick to my original strategy. And I successfully defeated the grandmaster (I won on time).

That's the kind of "flag-chopper" I am. I successfully defeated (won on time):

  • and the Rybka program (level: FIDE rating of approximately 3200);
  • and this good grandmaster (level: FIDE rating of 2514 at the time of the game against me, and his career-high FIDE rating is 2640);
  • and many, many, many very, very, very strong chess players (with major titles and chess ranks)!

But I answered your question above in the thread title, "What is the best win?" And in the thread itself, you ask a different question, "What is the highest quality win?" These are completely different questions, and the answers to them are completely different. So, I'll answer your second question here. My highest quality win on Lichess is probably this one:

In this game, my opponent and I played a line we both know very well, one we've even played against each other many times. Every game is different, but many of the opening moves in this game are ones we know very well (we don't invent them at the board, we know them). As a result, we had a super-precise game.
My opponent's post-game analysis statistics:

  • 100% accuracy
  • inaccuracies: 0
  • errors: 0
  • blunders: 0
  • average centipawn losses: 1

My post-game analysis statistics:

  • 99% accuracy
  • inaccuracies: 0
  • errors: 0
  • blunders: 0
  • average centipawn losses: 2

But I won the game, not him! I successfully cut his flag (beat him on time)! That's what happens when you have good knowledge. We both knew this line very well, but I was faster. Where my opponent spent a lot of time calculating, I initially simply knew the line, and then more or less strategically understood how to play correctly in this type of position (not specific lines, but a general understanding of the position, implementing a strategic plan)!
I'll also mention this. I've had (very, very few) games on Lichess in which my accuracy was better than in this game. In those games (as far as I remember, four out of the 18,826 games I've played on Lichess so far), my accuracy was actually 100%, not 99% like in this game. But those were short games, and their 100% accuracy was the result of my opponent's gross errors early on. This game, however, is truly my highest-quality game on Lichess to date.

My "best" game features a double sac with mate to follow though not immediate. Normally my sac's have decent results but are unsound. You can imagine my amazement to learn it was just winning in every line. Sadly, it was played chess.com but I would still like to humbly share it here:

Though this isn't on the topic, is german11 actually good at chess? Not that i'd doubt it, i've never played against him, but despite being the first in amount of games, he has a terrible rating... Is that just because he plays shitty because he just wants to gain more games, or is he actually bad at chess? (which i doubt, being bad after all those games is... weird to say the least...)
