Unfair play

The amount of cheaters on this site is frustrating. Every other game is a bot.

So you have reported them all?

you might have had a bad day. I personally have not played against any cheaters so far, and according to what other people report, the percentage of cheaters is relatively small (like 5%).
Are you sure you played against cheaters? What proof do you have?

@ActuChess

Between your 48 Rapid and Classical games, NONE have been banned for cheating.

I find this interesting because I have little issues getting people. whom I suspect of cheating. banned on a regular basis.
(By "regular basis", I mean once ever 100 games. 1%.)

Cheating is almost non-existent.
Of them all, Lichess handles it the best bar-none.

@Onyx_Chess
your statement "Cheating is almost non-existent." is far away from reality.
There ARE cheaters, even in chess variants. In last 3+ tournament I lost 3 games against some muppet from nigeria. It was quite obvious to me that he is a cheater sh!t becase I have lost a hundred games against software (while training) and know how sotfware plays. Later lichess gave me 30 points back. It sounds ridicilous but there are cheaters even between titled players,
So online chess should be taken with grain of salt, especially if you are not proffesional player

@zeroPoint_NRG

There are well over 100,000 unique users every single day.

If 1% of them came to this forum to discuss their experience with cheaters, that would be 1000 posts.

That's about 1 post every single day, for 3 years, before we get done hearing about people complaining about what CAN'T POSSIBLY be more than 2% at a +2000 level in a standard time control.

Now, this is coming from someone that's played 1000s of games and has successfully reported dozens upon dozens upon dozens of cheaters. What is your track record reporting cheaters?

What is it about that video that says, "Things would be much better if I amplify the perspective of the amount of people who cheat?"

Where is the logic that says that coming here to inflate the perception of cheating is good for the chess world...much less outweighs all of the obvious negative effects?

When I speak, It's as someone that would love chess whether I have an internet connection or not.
I'm not bored with chess and I'm not resigned to playing some 3+ variant.
If I didn't have the internet or a computer, I would have all of my chessboards mid-game like I did in the 80s as a child.
I speak with a vested primary interest in the chess-world and Lichess in specific. This is completely clear.

When you speak, it's as an avid chesscom fan who is having a disruptive, derogatory, and damaging effect on the Lichess community.

Lichess has done an excellent job protecting it's interests when people come to these forums to:

  1. Slander the competency of the Lichess anti-cheat division.
  2. Denigrate the efforts of Lichess anti-cheat division.
  3. Mitigate the perception of Lichess being the best online chess community on the planet.
  4. Charge an atmosphere with influence that will ONLY amplify cheating and NEVER mitigate cheating.
  5. Subtract from the experience that everyone is having on a whole.
  6. Increase the amount of suspicion in the atmosphere.
  7. Et cetera.

You are projecting your experience with chesscom in these forums. Lichess.org runs a completely different program from head to toe. Chesscom steals what they can from Lichess, but certain things they can't steal.

They can't steal <censored for content>.
They can't steal <censored for content>.
They can't steal <censored for content>.

Cheating in online chess is at a complete minimum.
Cheating at Lichess is even less than that.

@Onyx_Chess your funnny writings are just making me laugh :) You may write few more sceens with text but 'Cheating in online chess is at a complete minimum' is just not serious.

BTW The next your point is also wrong, I could be anything else but not a fan of chesscom,
Also how you decide that my post has 'disruptive, derogatory, and damaging effect on the Lichess community' ?
Making conclusions for someone, just by few lines text is a bit hmm immature and naive, dont you think so ?

Cheating in online chess (and not only in online but in real as well) is a fact, but you are welcome to report me to moderators so they can ban me for my opinion :)

'You are projecting your experience with chesscom in these forums.'- may be you didnt read it well, if you make that effort and check my previous post you will see . ->LICHESS<- gave me 30 points back.

What is your track record reporting cheaters? - I don't report cheaters, just know they are out there :D
